ABOUT LUCA
The person
behind the timer.
I am 55 and live in Italy. I travel extensively—for work and for the pleasure of discovering what is beyond the next border.
My sporting life has moved through half marathons, marathons and triathlon up to the Olympic distance. I also completed the 100 km del Passatore twice—experiences that taught me patience, mental endurance and the strange clarity that arrives when an effort becomes very long.
As of August 2026, I have visited 106 countries, so there is a fair chance I have already passed through yours. Travel, like endurance sport, keeps curiosity alive and makes unexpected encounters possible.
The 100 Km Race
with a Smile.
I wrote a short book about the mental side of reaching a 100-kilometre finish line—and finding satisfaction inside a very long effort. It grew from completing the 100 km del Passatore twice and from the lessons learned while negotiating doubt, discomfort and changing expectations over many hours.
The book belongs to the same line of curiosity that now runs through One More Minute: what happens when an ordinary person gives an extraordinary challenge enough attention, structure and time?
